Fisherman's Village
Fisherman's Village, the largest man-made small boat harbor in the world with about 7000 pleasure boats and yachts is located right down the street from Playa Vista. The Village serves as the location for yacht brokerages, travel agencies, gift shops, as well as dance clubs, restaurants such as El Torito. Kiddie rides are situated near El Torito. The Village also connects with the Balboa Creek bicycle path and the Santa Monica bike path.
The Venice Promenade

Griffith Park and Observatory
First opened in 1933, this Los Angeles icon is the most visited public observatory in the world. After four years and almost a $100 million in renovations, the expanded facility has debuted the Samuel Oschin Planetarium, a copper-sheathed dome with 300 reclining seats, a computerized star projector and laser technology for all-dome animated videos.
